2025 GAA Recipients: Organization Awards – Career Achievement Awards – Lifetime Achievement Awards
ISC2 Lifetime Achievement Award
In memory of Harold F. Tipton, this award recognizes members for their lifelong contributions to the advancement of information security and the profession by serving, over the long term, with sustained excellence and distinction throughout their entire cybersecurity career.
- Professor Jason Lau, CISSP, HCISPP – Jason is a cybersecurity and data privacy leader with over 25 years of experience spanning multiple industries. He currently serves as the CISO at Crypto, where he leads global security strategy and operations. He’s helped shape some of the world’s most consequential cybersecurity, data privacy and AI policies, along with certifications and frameworks. He’s also active in advancing the profession by serving on advisory boards for several cybersecurity companies and as an Adjunct Professor.
ISC2 Volunteer Service Award
In memory of James R. Wade, this award recognizes volunteers who have provided sustained and valuable service to ISC2.
- Americas: Dr. Kwame Boakye Gyan, CISSP, CGRC – Dr. Boakye Gyan is an Information Systems Security Officer at the National Archives Records Administration. He is a seasoned cybersecurity professional who is deeply committed to community impact. He founded a nonprofit organization to promote literacy and improve healthcare services in underserved communities, particularly in developing countries. He brings a strategic, mission-driven approach to cybersecurity and education, combining technical expertise with a passion for service and knowledge sharing.
- Asia-Pacific: Sujit Christy, CISSP – Sujit is President of Circulo de CISO. He is a distinguished professional in Governance, Risk & Compliance with a deep commitment to reinforcing cybersecurity measures and promoting the profession. He’s a founding member of the ISC2 Chennai & Colombo Chapters and has supervised the ISC2 credential exams in India & Sri Lanka, exemplifying his commitment to nurturing the cybersecurity community. He has also contributed to the Center for Cyber Safety and Education through pioneering digital safety in India and Sri Lanka.
- EMEA: Joy Emedon, CC – Joy is a Manager of Security Engineering at Accenture Ireland. She is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with experience driving innovation across diverse sectors. She is renowned for her strategic vision, transformative leadership, and strong dedication to fostering inclusivity, particularly for women in technology. Through her advocacy and leadership, Joy is making significant strides in empowering underrepresented voices in technology, paving the way for a safer, smarter, and more inclusive digital future.
ISC2 Inclusion Impact Awards
Recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to driving a more diverse workforce in the global cybersecurity community by initiating and leading actions to remove barriers and positively impact the diversity, equity and inclusion of the cyber profession.
- Americas: Avishkar (Avi) Nikum, CISSP – Avi is a Senior Security Industry Specialist at Amazon. He has years of experience guiding Fortune 500 organizations through complex security, risk and compliance challenges. He champions global cybersecurity awareness and equal access to digital security. He’s reached and empowered diverse audiences through multilingual sessions, public speaking, and mentorship. Through his thought leadership, Avi works to make cybersecurity knowledge practical, actionable, and accessible worldwide.
- Asia-Pacific: Alexandra Mercz, CC – Alexandra is the Head of Risk, Compliance and Assurance at Cushman & Wakefield. She is a cybersecurity leader with deep expertise in technology, corporate real estate and transformation. Throughout her career, she’s successfully managed complex transformations, optimized operations, and driven organizational efficiency across diverse sectors. As a globally recognized speaker and presenter, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the industry and contributing to its growth through thought leadership.
- EMEA: Eunice Hammond-Mørklid – Eunice is the founder & COO of INNO-SCI, an organization dedicated to shaping the future of social innovation and equitable access to technology. She has lead initiatives training women, youth and underrepresented groups to access quality jobs and thrive in the fast-changing digital age. Eunice envisions a world where opportunity and innovation are accessible to all, creating a lasting impact both locally and globally.
