This course prepares cybersecurity professionals to evaluate and implement AI-augmented penetration testing programs. Learners examine the difference between automation and autonomy, assess where AI agents are most effective and identify where human expertise remains essential. The course also explores AI failure modes, hybrid Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) delivery models, agent access, context engineering, vendor evaluation, continuous validation, governance and program maturity. Through practical scenarios and a continuing organizational case study, learners apply these concepts to select an appropriate delivery model, establish responsible governance controls and build a phased roadmap for moving from periodic penetration testing to continuous offensive validation.
