Building the Future of Cybersecurity Knowledge.

ISC2 is building a Unified Body of Knowledge for the cybersecurity profession – All cybersecurity professionals are invited to participate in this landmark project.
The Unified Body of Knowledge (UBK) project is building a single source for accurate and accessible cybersecurity knowledge. ISC2 members are collaborating and improving the ways and means of collecting and sharing ideas, standards, and archiving practices. These members make up the fastest growing group of ISC2 subject matter experts.
The UBK will support the educational journeys and career development of cybersecurity professionals with a place to access best practices and industry standards, learn about developing ideas and innovations, and gain role-specific insights developed by security professionals for security professionals.
Unified Body of Knowledge
The Unified Body of Knowledge (UBK) will be a well-sourced, accurate and accessible online knowledge base that upholds the needs of professionals from beginner to expert.
In support of ISC2’s knowledge management strategy, the UBK will transcend the ISC2 Common Bodies of Knowledge (CBKs) into to a virtual and searchable collection. The project will also refresh all current CBK content, resulting in:
- New insights for innovation and the improvement of knowledge management methods
- Stronger networks to facilitate idea exchange and diversity of thought
- Retiring dated or obsolete ideas and practices
- A collaboration boost between ISC2, its members and volunteers
