Start Your Journey

  1. Create an account. If you already have an (ISC)² account, sign in.
  2. Complete your (ISC)² Candidate application form and select Certified in Cybersecurity as your certification of interest.
  3. Once the application is complete, you’ll become an (ISC)² Candidate. It’s free to join - your (ISC)² Candidate U.S. $50 annual dues are waived until September 2023. You’ll gain free access to Official (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity Online Self-Paced Training and a code to register for the free certification exam. You will find your access on the Candidate Benefits page.
  4. Upon passing the exam, you’ll become a certified member of (ISC)² – the world’s largest association of certified cybersecurity professionals – with access to a broad range of professional development resources to help you throughout your career.

Please note: Upon passing the exam and becoming a certified member, your first Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) of U.S. $50 will be due.

This entry-level certification will prove to employers you have the foundational knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for an entry- or junior-level cybersecurity role. What can I expect from the online self-paced course?

A:
The online self-paced course is a recorded review session that introduces learners to the content covered in the (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity certification exam outline. The review sessions are led by an authorised (ISC)² instructor and cover the five domains of the entry-level cybersecurity certification. The sessions are designed specifically to help learners prepare to take the Certified in Cybersecurity exam. Learners have access to the course for 180 days.

This program is for UK residents interested in joining the cybersecurity field. We encourage recent graduates, career changers, IT professionals and anyone drawn to an in-demand, under-staffed and mission-oriented profession like cybersecurity to pursue certification. Please note that certified (ISC)² members are not eligible to participate in this program.

When you sign up, you’ll receive a free exam voucher (valued at U.S. $199) and access to the online self-paced course (valued at U.S. $100). The exam voucher will be valid for 365 days from its issue date, and you will have access to the online course for 180 days.

How do I schedule my exam?

A:

Participants can register for the exam via Pearson VUE, the exclusive exam administration provider for (ISC)².

The process is simple:

  • Create an account with Pearson VUE
  • Select the certification: Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
  • Apply the discount code you receive on the Candidate Benefits page
  • Schedule your exam and testing location

Can I transfer my free course and/or exam code to someone else?

A:
No, the course training and corresponding exam codes are issued to you and other (ISC)² Candidates. You may, however, encourage your peers to sign up as (ISC)² Candidates.
