In 2022, following the January launch of the ISC2 Volunteer Program, nearly 4,000 ISC2 members around the world volunteered 31,986 hours serving their communities.

Building on the spirit of volunteerism, ISC2 announces its newest initiative, ISC2gether Volunteer Days, in partnership with the charitable arm of ISC2, The Center for Cyber Safety and Education.

ISC2gether Volunteer Days encourages ISC2's membership of cybersecurity professionals to unite in charitable efforts worldwide and make a positive impact within their local communities. The community service projects will take place across three days from September 22-24 within ISC2 Chapter and members' communities across the globe.

To participate, you'll utilize the Helper Helper app that showcases volunteering opportunities and facilitates local connections to other members. Example volunteering activities listed in the app include educating young people on cyber safety, participating in environmental clean-ups or distributing food parcels.

If you're a member of your local ISC2 Chapter, reach out to them to see what activities they have planned. The app will allow for Chapters to coordinate their activities together and volunteer actions will be tracked on a leader board.

"Through volunteering activities, members can develop valuable leadership skills and grow both personally and professionally, all while supporting a cause they are truly passionate about," said Tara Wisniewski, Executive VP of Advocacy, Global Markets and Member Engagement, ISC2. "We want to encourage ISC2 Chapters and our membership around the world to make an impact and bring transformative change through their collaborative efforts, whether it be educating young people on cyber safety or helping those most vulnerable in society. ISC2gether Volunteer Days serve our mission to inspire and empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals."
