Technical Advisory Panel
The Technical Advisory Panel discovers, selects, organizes, and shares valuable and relevant Cybersecurity content in the creation of a Unified Body of Knowledge (UBK). Technical Advisory Panel members work with ISC2’s bodies of knowledge to create a single corpus free of duplication, confliction, and redundancy, while ensuring content remains relevant and accurately sourced.Purpose
Reviews the ISC2 bodies of knowledge, recommending content updates. Contributions ensure that ISC2 maintains a single corpus of knowledge free of duplication, confliction, and redundancy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive inventory of existing content and knowledge sources.
- Evaluate the quality, relevance, and accuracy of the existing content. Identify outdated or redundant materials and assess gaps in knowledge.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content creators to generate new knowledge content and update existing materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Implement a robust metadata system and tagging mechanism to enhance searchability and discoverability of knowledge assets.
- Commit to providing prompt reviews and meeting established deadlines to maintain efficient publication processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the content being reviewed.
- Foster a collaborative and constructive environment among SMEs.

Skills Required
- Regions and knowledge of ISC2’s key global markets (e.g., U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, Japan).
- Must hold the CISSP certification and be a member in good standing.
- Cybersecurity expert with a passion for writing and research.
- Firm understanding of business-level English. This requires the ability to read, write, and speak in meetings on technical topics with other SMEs exclusively in English.
- Passion for advancing the global cyber security profession through learning and development.
- Commitment to upholding ethical and editorial standards.
- Time.
Training
Some training may be required.
Time Requirement
- Bi-weekly 1-hour status meetings.
- Tasks are self-driven. Time needed to complete tasks may differ from one individual to another

No travel is required.

CPE Credit(s)
5 CPEs weekly. A total of 20 CPEs for the duration of the project.
CPE Submission Process
ISC2 will submit CPE credits on behalf of the volunteer.
