Regional Advisory Council Member

Regional Advisory Council members are senior cyber security professionals, nominated from leading business, public, and non-government organizations within a geographic region. They discuss and make non-binding recommendations to ISC2 executive leadership.

Purpose

ISC2 has created regional advisory councils to inform, enable and facilitate its strategic aims, and maximize our global impact. The councils, comprised largely of ISC2 members, are a critical forum for our member organization. They provide an exciting and unique opportunity for council members to become part of our vision, by contributing time and expertise to strategic initiatives, along with peer networking and professional development opportunities.


Responsibilities

Regional Advisory Council members will discuss and make non-binding recommendations to ISC2 executive leadership on:

  • Improvements to ISC2 cyber security certification programs.
  • Support for regional members and their professional development.
  • Support for employers in the professional development and conduct of their teams.
  • Potential partners within government, industry and academia to advance certification programs and the growth and development of the cyber security workforce.
  • Other initiatives to key sector to drive, foster and support new professionals and close the workforce gap.
  • User groups, publications and associations that ISC2 should consider for potential cooperation as affiliated organizations cyber security.
  • Marketing, communication and engagement with current and prospective members.
  • Serving as the “eyes and ears” of ISC2 in their region to reflect comments, ideas, and enquiries from the cyber security profession.

Serve two-year term; meet virtual quarterly
