ISC2 Volunteer Content Contributor
Purpose
To create concise, immediately applicable continuing education content for ISC2 members. This program leverages SME expertise to provide free-for-member learning resources and supports ISC2’s mission to advance cybersecurity knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Submit an application form.
- Develop original content (video or text) based on approved aroposal.
- Collaborate with an Instructional Designer for formatting and delivery.
- Provide references for all course materials.
- Adhere to deadlines and communication standards as outlined in the contract.
ISC2 Membership Requirement
Yes – Active ISC2 members in good standing.
Skills Required
- Professional experience relevant to proposed content area.
- Ability to create concise, accurate, and practical content.
- Punctual and dependable
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable being on camera and have an environment that’s ready to be shown on camera. (Ex. a quiet office with strong wi-fi, etc.)
- Ability to engage with others to draw out the best-in-class engagement and presentations on cybersecurity topics
Training
None required. Access will be provided to authoring resources and video walkthrough for project collaboration space.
Time Requirement
5-10 hours per project. 1-2 hours application process. 4-8 hours in content development after approval.
Travel Requirement
None – All activities are virtual.
Start/End Date
Rolling opportunities; project timelines assigned upon approval.
CPE Credit(s)
Earn CPE credits for approved contributions. Not to exceed 20 CPEs per contribution.
CPE Submission Process
- Members will maintain a log of activities in project collaboration space.
- Verified by ISC2 based on logged hours.
- Submitted by PD team for official processing.
