ISC2 Content and Course Material Translator - German and Japanese

ISC2 is looking for cybersecurity professionals to review and propose changes to machine-translated German and Japanese content in various languages.

Purpose

To support the development of German-speaking cybersecurity professionals, and make ISC2 content and course materials more accessible, by translating from English into German and Japanese.


Responsibilities

Volunteers are required to review and propose changes to ISC2 content from English to German/Japanese, and/or machine translated German/Japanese content (incorporating our approved translation glossary and historical translation memory).

Skills Required

Volunteers should have strong proficiency in written German or Japanese, including grammar, and be able to spot minor spelling and punctuation errors. Preference will be given to those with experience in proofreading, copywriting, or content editing in German or Japanese. Familiarity with cyber security and information technology are desirable. Preference will be given to volunteers with expertise in the topical area of the content they are translating.


Training

ISC2 will train volunteers to use our enterprise translation management tool. Reference material will also be provided.


Time Requirement

1-12 weeks elapsed time, depending on the asset.

CPE Credit(s)

1 CPE credit earned per 1 hour of service


CPE Submission Process

ISC2 will submit CPE credits on behalf of the volunteer.
