The Cyber Resilience Centre for London is looking for cybersecurity professionals to prepare and protect small businesses by delivering technical guidance and being the professional face of the centre.Purpose
The Cyber Resilience Centre (CRC) for London Mission is “to make London the safest city in the world to do business online”
- 1 million London businesses are SMEs (99.9%)
- Reaching 2% of these as our target by 2026 requires support from the cybersecurity professionals.
Responsibilities
- To prepare and protect small businesses to secure the digital economy.
- To effectively engage in conversation with small business owners, to deliver technical guidance in line with best practices, so that they are fully informed of cyber-attack risks.
- To learn on the job from different experiences to creatively adapt technical guidance for different business sectors, to raise awareness to change their behaviour towards cyber security.
- To be the professional face of CRC London in Community Outreach Days and Events.
- To collect data to build a resilience database and capture KPIs to measure impact and deliver government messaging.

Skills Required
BPSS vetting required.
Essential skills:
- Confident in handling data under GDPR with accurate input for follow-up and customer journey.
- Passionate on delivering prepare and protect guidance on cyber security best practices.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Reliable time management and commitment to team working.
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of languages to meet the demographics in London.
- Understanding of the areas of travel in London to engage with businesses.
Training
To be completed within 1 month, before joining as a volunteer.

Time Requirement
Up to 2 days a month
Travel Requirement
All across London, mainly towards the Northwest (Harrow, Barnet and Brent), eventually we will build focus in other parts of London.

CPE Submission Process
CRCL will provide a letter of evidence for training and the volunteering days completed.

- Workshop- which includes roleplaying exercises, brainstorming sessions and customer engagement confidence building, as well as offering a team building opportunity (in person)
- CPD certificate for their Baseline Briefing Training
- Progression opportunities. Volunteers will be assigned a level based on their experience. They will be able to develop leadership skills, to strengthen their CVs.
Level 1- Those who have recently joined and not confident in Community Outreach delivery. A member of staff will be present, and the Level 1 volunteer will be supported by a Level 3 volunteer.
Level 2- Those who are confident in Community Outreach delivery. They can work with other Level 2 or 3 volunteers without supervision.
Level 3- Those who are confident in Community Outreach delivery and demonstrate leadership capabilities (a good role model) can work unsupervised with Level 2s. They can also support Level 1s, going into businesses with them and offering feedback.
