Content Advisory Panel Member

The Content Advisory Panel plays a vital role in maintaining the quality, credibility, integrity, and unification of ISC2’s bodies of knowledge. Panel members assess, review, and provide constructive feedback on submitted content to ensure that ISC2’s publications adhere to the highest standards while delivering valuable insights to our readership.

Purpose

Collaborates with fellow Cybersecurity experts to assess, review, and provide constructive feedback on submitted content. Contributions ensure that ISC2’s publications adhere to the highest standards while delivering valuable insights to our readership.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate content submissions for quality, accuracy, relevance, and adherence to editorial guidelines and standards.
  • Offer detailed feedback and recommendations to authors, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Uphold and promote the editorial policies and standards of ISC2 to maintain credibility and reputation.
  • Assess the scientific, technical, or literary merit of submissions.
  • Collaborate with other board members, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and editors, making decisions regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of submitted content.
  • Ensure that ethical and research integrity considerations are addressed in the review process, including plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and research ethics.
  • Commit to providing prompt reviews and meeting established deadlines to maintain efficient publication processes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the content being reviewed and discussions within the Editorial Review Board.
  • Foster a supportive and constructive environment among SMEs.

Skills Required

  • Regions and knowledge of ISC2’s key global markets (e.g., U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, Japan).
  • Must hold the CISSP certification and be a member in good standing.
  • Proven expertise and significant experience in the subject matter or field of focus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as attention to detail.
  • Passion for advancing the global cyber security profession through learning and development.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical and editorial standards.
  • Time.

Training

Some training may be required.


Time Requirement

Three (3) workdays. Six (6) hours per day.


Travel Requirement

No travel is required.

CPE Credit(s)

A total of 20 CPEs for the duration of the workshop.


CPE Submission Process

ISC2 will submit CPE credits on behalf of the volunteer.
