Meet ISC2 Instructor Koshi Kobayashi, CISSP, CCSP, SSCP, CC
Koshi Kobayashi joined NEC Corporation in 1993. Initially part of the education department, he transitioned from being a certified trainer for Lotus Notes/Domino and Microsoft University to focusing on security training. During this period, he covered a wide range of security topics and products, including hacking techniques, firewalls, vulnerability assessments, IDS, PKI, and ISMS, as well as serving as a certified trainer for companies like Check Point, ISS, and VeriSign.
In recent years, he has been involved in national cyber defense exercises for over 10 years, creating training content and conducting exercises for government agencies, local governments, and critical infrastructure operators, thereby contributing to the development of national security personnel.
Since 2015, he has been a part-time lecturer for the International Cybersecurity Special Course at Tokyo Denki University, delivering lectures on security to working professionals, graduate students, and undergraduates.
Additionally, since 2021, he has been with Global Security Expert Co., Ltd., a “cybersecurity education company,” continuing his work in security training. He focuses on providing cybersecurity training for small and medium-sized enterprises to raise the overall security level of the nation. Furthermore, he has been an ISC2 certified instructor for CISSP official seminars for 20 years since 2005, and he also conducts EC-Council certified training (mainly CEH, CHFI, CCSE, CND, CCT) and practical training courses for Japan’s Registered Information Security Specialist (RISS), actively contributing to the development of advanced security professionals.
