Meet ISC2 Instructor Chad Kliewer

Chad D. Kliewer, MS, ISSMP, CISSP, CGRC, CSSLP, CCSP

Chad Kliewer is a recovering CISO with over 25 years experience in Information Security and Information Technology in critical infrastructure organizations small, medium, and large.  Currently, Chad is making the impossible possible by supporting cybersecurity programs for the US government with Gunnison Consulting Group, Inc.

While mostly in nonprofits, Chad has worked in banking, government, healthcare, telecommunications, and transportation. During his career, Chad has been outsourced, insourced, and resourced working with companies from 50 employees to more than 50,000 employees giving insight to how things work in companies large and small and everywhere in between.

As a serial volunteer, Chad is a past-president and advisor to InfraGard Oklahoma. He has served on the Communications and IT Sector Coordinating Councils providing industry guidance to CISA and other government agencies in addition to other advisory roles.  He maintains the Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (CGRC), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and several other certifications.  Chad holds an MS degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
