Committee Members
- Chair: Shannon Brewster, CISSP
- Vice Chair: Lisa Young, CISSP
The Bylaws Committee was established by the Board of Directors to:
- Review the bylaws, including proposals received from the CEO, board, committees or other stakeholders, and make appropriate recommendations to the board and membership, as necessary.
- Draft the language of proposed bylaw revisions for consideration by the board and, ultimately, the membership.
- Assist in the interpretation of the bylaws as needed.

We Heard You. Thank You.
After hearing from Members, we have closed the current survey to make it better. It became clear that more context and background information is needed before we ask you to weigh in on these important questions.
To be clear: the Bylaws Committee has not reached predetermined conclusions. Our intent is to gather Member feedback to help determine what amendments, if any, should be recommended to the Board. Your input matters, and we want to make sure the next survey reflects that.
To those who participated, thank you. Your feedback is being carefully reviewed, and the results will be shared with the membership. Your responses will continue to inform and guide this work. We appreciate the feedback from Members, volunteers, and past Directors to better inform this process.
We are partnering with additional Members to develop foundational material including FAQs and supporting articles so that the information we’re providing you is clear. The survey itself will also be redesigned as part of this process.
We are committed to a thoughtful and transparent process and appreciate your patience. A new survey will be launched once this work is complete.

The 2026 ISC2 Bylaws Committee hosted an informational webinar on the 2026 Bylaws review process. Members learned about the role bylaws play in governing our association and how they can get involved in this year’s bylaws review. Watch webinar here.
