Board of Directors Candidates
One hundred twenty (120) eligible ISC2 members answered the Call for Nominations for the 2024 ISC2 Board of Directors. Thank you to each of these members for their interest in serving in this important role. The global member volunteers on ISC2's Nominations Committee had a difficult task narrowing down the group to six (6) candidates. Through the application and interview process, candidates demonstrated how their experience, achievements and skills would contribute to a role on ISC2's global Board. ISC2 members are eligible to vote for four candidates to serve on the 2025-27 ISC2 Board of Directors. Voting instructions will be sent via email to eligible members on June 11, 2024. The election will begin on June 18 and will close on July 2.

Shannon has substantial experience safeguarding critical national infrastructure, including a specialized focus on election security. His collaborations extend to federal, state, and local governments as well as international enterprises. Shannon’s expertise has been essential in helping institutions develop robust cyber programs from the ground up, designing secure and resilient systems, establishing and sustaining continuous monitoring services, engineering for security transformations, vulnerability management, threat hunting and incident response.
Shannon has extensive board and leadership experience and currently serves as the President of the ISC2 Los Angeles Chapter in California and was a founding board member. He has also served on other boards, as the Chief Operating Officer on the national board of one of AT&T’s largest employee resource groups, championing diversity and chairman initiatives, as well as on the Alumni Leadership Board of Champlain College.
Shannon has received numerous awards; including recognition as a Top Security Leader of 2024 by Security Magazine, a distinguished Career Achievement Award from Champlain College, a visionary leader award from AT&T, and a recipient of AT&T’s exclusive Diamond Club for his work building the elections security program for the largest voting jurisdiction in the United States. He has spoken at many conferences such as the Legislative conference of the National Association of Counties (NACO) and regional summits such as Digital Government, and more.
In addition to various security certifications and certificates, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and a Master of Business Administration from Champlain College in Burlington, VT. He is actively working on a Corporate Governance Certificate at Cornell University, an Executive Leadership Certificate from University of Texas at Austin, and a coaching certificate from CTI. He is also an Adjunct Professor for Wilmington University’s College of Technology, teaching for both the graduate and undergraduate cyber programs. Shannon resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife and two children and enjoys coaching, mentoring, and trekking outdoors all over the world.
Watch the VideoDarren Gallop is a seasoned cybersecurity leader with a CISSP certification from ISC2 and additional credentials in CIPM and CIPT from IAPP. Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Darren has used his extensive language skills to enhance his global impact throughout his career, notably when he founded and scaled an events management software company into 21 countries worldwide, resulting in a successful exit. He has driven innovations in security solutions for small to medium-sized businesses and actively fostered the growth of cybersecurity knowledge through mentoring and educational initiatives. His significant contributions include mentoring cybersecurity start-up founders at the Toronto Metropolitan University, Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, and developing and delivering cybersecurity micro-credential training at Cape Breton University.
Aspiring to join ISC2’s Board of Directors, Darren is committed to broadening the organization’s reach by integrating cybersecurity education into diverse business sectors and expanding member benefits beyond traditional certification management. With over two decades of CEO and board experience across tech and nonprofit sectors, including leadership roles as CEO of a record company, founder and CEO of a leading events management software company, and founder and CEO of an artificial intelligence-backed GRC software, Darren’s strategic insights and international perspective equip him to propel ISC2’s mission forward in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
His candidacy promotes a proactive approach towards a more inclusive and secure cyber world, aligning closely with ISC2’s values and strategic goals. Additionally, Darren is a Master's candidate in the Master of Engineering in Engineering Management in the Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program at the University of Colorado Boulder.

He is a seasoned global cybersecurity and forensics speaker who possesses multi-tier skills across cybersecurity, IT GRC, forensics and education. He is a founding director and Board Secretary for the Consulting Audit and Accounting Professionals Union (C2APU), a Board member for Children Advocating for Transparency and Empowerment (Non-profit organisation) and a Regional Committee member for The Institute for Internal Auditors (IIA - South Africa). He has worked for PwC, Mazars, Sasria SOC and is currently the Group IT Audit Manager for Bidvest Services South Africa, an entity with over 130 000 employees and 250 subsidiaries across the globe. He mentors aspiring cybersecurity professionals across Africa and is an ISC2 Exam Development volunteer. He is completing a Masters in Education (ICTs), holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Analytics & Business Intelligence, a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences, a Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensics. He also holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation in addition to other cybersecurity and audit certifications.

She then worked as a healthcare and tech attorney in private practice, earning an AV preeminent peer review rating. She is now the Senior Principal of Cybersecurity and Privacy at HIMSS, where she serves as an industry-wide expert and educator.
Lee serves as an analyst with the US DHS Analytic Exchange Program. She is Director of InfraGard Northern Capital Region, Vice Chair of ABA Health Law & Policy Coordinating Committee, IANS faculty, and a member of the National Visiting Committee for the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center.
Lee believes in the power of education for everyone. She is a frequent domestic and international public speaker and writer, regularly provides comments to mainstream media and trade press, and serves as a trusted advisor to both public and private sectors. Her expertise spans cybersecurity, data privacy, artificial intelligence, critical infrastructure, and law.

James is a proud and dedicated advocate for ISC2 members and fellow information security professionals. Serving as a volunteer with the association for many years, James has contributed to the Chapter program, DEI initiatives, advisory committees and presented at numerous conferences.
James founded the ISC2 London Chapter with a mission of creating a down to earth, collaborative forum where all ideas and views are welcomed and considered; James progressed to provide guidance and support to Chapters around the world.
James is an avid mentor of security professionals and enjoys helping the younger generation better understand the cyber world through presentations at schools and colleges. He also participates in several law enforcement prevention programs in the U.K. to provide a positive perspective of cybersecurity to young offenders.
Watch the VideoDaisy Radford, CISSP, brings over 14 years of experience supporting defense and national security missions across Asia, the Middle East, and the UK. Her expertise lie in addressing some of the most complex challenges in the cyber industry, including advanced cyber threats, national capabilities upskilling, government digitalisation, and the adoption of new societal technologies.
Passionate about leveraging technology and cybersecurity for societal benefit, Daisy actively supports and advises non-profits, charities, government programs, and start-ups. Her firsthand experiences have underscored the critical importance of cyber awareness as the enabler for progress on a national, enterprise, and individual level.
Recognized for her advocacy for technology, Daisy currently leads the board for Girls In Tech Singapore and the British Chamber of Commerce Tech Committee. Additionally, she delivers programmes and workshops to schools and youth institutions, ensuring the next generation is equipped with essential cyber knowledge.
Daisy holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. In her spare time she enjoys running, field hockey, and golf. She is also the author of a children’s book and likes nothing better than exploring the world through the eyes of her young children.
