(ISC)² Opens Call for Nominations for Asia-Pacific ISLA 2017
Hong Kong, February 21, 2017 — (ISC)²® today announced the opening of nominations for its Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (Asia-Pacific ISLA®) awards.
Since 2007, Asia-Pacific ISLA has been recognizing cyber,
information, software and infrastructure security professionals, educators and
management throughout the Asia-Pacific region for their outstanding leadership
and achievements in workforce improvement and promoting public awareness of the
challenges of cybersecurity.
The eleventh annual Asia-Pacific ISLA Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of July 3, 2017 in conjunction with the (ISC)² Security Congress APAC at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers in Hong Kong.
Regardless of certification one holds, anyone who is interested to honor a deserving cybersecurity professional can submit a nomination for an outstanding peer in the information security profession under the following categories:
Information Security Educator
Senior Information Security Professional
Managerial Professional for an Information Security Project
Information Security Practitioner

Managerial Professional for an Information Security Project Category Showcased Honoree: Kumpol Sontanarat, director of ICT Department, Securities and Exchange Commission (Thailand)

Information Security Practitioner Category Showcased Honoree: Dr. Ching-Hao Mao, CCSK, OCPJWCD, SCJP, section manager, Institute for Information Industry (Taiwan)
A nominations committee comprised of senior information security experts from the (ISC)² Asia-Pacific Advisory Council as well as previous ISLA honorees, will review and select honorees from the four categories based upon the selection criteria and eligibility requirements.
