(ISC)² Names CyberVista New Approved Training Provider for CISSP Education Delivery

Educational bodies work together to offer training solutions for a wider audience of learners

Las Vegas, NV and Clearwater, FL, August 3, 2016 — (ISC)2® today announced it has named CyberVista as an Approved Training Provider for a live, online training course for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®).

“Delivering world-class education through channels that are accessible to our candidates and members is paramount,” says Wesley Simpson, chief operating officer at (ISC)². “This relationship is part of our effort to provide more educational options that appeal to a wide variety of learners. We believe that adding CyberVista as an approved training provider will make a great impact on building a more cyber-ready workforce.”

The CISSP certification is designed for professionals with proven technical and managerial skills, experience and credibility to design, engineer, implement and manage information security programs to protect organizations from cyberattacks. Those holding a credential from (ISC)² reported a 35 percent premium in salary over those without, according to the
2015 Global Information Security Workforce Study. Nonmember security practitioners reported an average annual salary of US $76,363, while the salaries among those with an (ISC)² certification averaged US $103,117 annually.

CyberVista, a cybersecurity education and workforce development company, will be an Approved Training Provider for the live online CISSP program for (ISC)². The test preparation process will enable candidates to engage with the content via several delivery methods, including: lightboard technology, voice-over PowerPoint, video and more. Part of the CyberVista approach to training involves an initial assessment to determine the individual areas of focus for a candidate, providing a personalized educational path.

“Given the rapidly increasing cybersecurity threats facing businesses today, the need for more certified cybersecurity professionals has never been greater,” said CyberVista CEO Amjed Saffarini. “CISSP is globally recognized as a gold standard in cybersecurity certification. The program we announced today is just one of several initiatives CyberVista is planning to address the growing cybersecurity skills gap businesses and government agencies face.”
