(ISC)² SecureFrance 2016 Puts Focus on Securing the Virtual Organization

Crucial information sharing opportunity for France’s professionals  

      Paris, May 31 2016 –  The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the impact the Internet of Things is having on access management are among the current concerns up for debate as France’s information security community comes together for SecureFrance on June 22^nd.  This one-day conference from (ISC)², a nonprofit membership body of certified cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals worldwide with over 120,000 members worldwide, is being developed with the support of the (ISC)² Paris Chapterand other industry bodies, including OWASP and the Cloud Security Alliance. The conference will review the latest security concerns for those grappling with the challenge of “Securing the Virtual Organization” and serves to bring practitioners from all levels of practice together in a forum for sharing insights and experience.          

This is the third time that an (ISC)² Secure event has been hosted in France. This year’s agenda focuses on challenges posed by fast-changing IT architectures as organizations embrace both the cloud and digital innovation to examine developing expectations for managing data, access, identities, software and compliance.

Session highlights include:

Identity and Access Management in the Internet of Things–Sofiane Chafai, EMEA Advisory Board Member, (ISC)² – Drawing on the current picture of Identity and Access Management Risks an IoT context, the modus operandi for these new risks and threat treatments.

The New EU Data Protection Regulation: What it Means for You – Paul Lanois, Senior Legal Counsel, Credit Suisse – Will outline the case for major operational reform in the face of new obligations for data subject consent, data anonymization, breach notification, cross-border data transfers and more.

Defending Against Phishing: Preparing and Using Human Sensors –Stéphane Aouichia, Regional Sales Manager, PhishMe – Taking advantage of employees’ willingness to help, this session will discuss how to reduce susceptibility to human-targeted attacks and empower users to be human sensors.

Round Table with Cercle des Femmes de la CYberSécurité(Circle of Women in Cybersecurity) – Will offer a deep dive into new obligations to report breaches (within GDPR) and the impact this will have on company reputation and relationships with customers.
