(ISC)² Opens Call for Nominations for Asia-Pacific ISLA 2016
This Year Marks the 10th Anniversary for the Annual Recognition of Information Security Professionals in Asia-Pacific
Hong Kong, March 10, 2016 — (ISC)²® (“ISC-squared”) today announced that the opening of its annual nomination for Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (Asia-Pacific ISLA™). For the past nine years, Asia-Pacific ISLA has been recognizing outstanding leadership and achievements in workforce improvement and public awareness of cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals, educators and management throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The 10th Annual Asia-Pacific ISLA Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of July 26 in conjunction with the (ISC)² Security Congress APAC http://apaccongress.isc2.org/ at Centara Grand at CentralWorld, Bangkok, Thailand.
The (ISC)² Asia-Pacific ISLA Program is held annually by (ISC)² in cooperation with the (ISC)² Asia-Pacific Advisory Council to recognize outstanding leadership and achievements of cyber, information, software and infrastructure security professionals, educators and management throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This year, nominators can submit an outstanding peer in the security profession under the following categories:
-Information Security Educator (*NEW Category for 2016)
-Senior Information Security Professional
-Managerial Professional for an Information Security Project
-Information Security Practitioner
Clayton Jones, managing director, Asia-Pacific, (ISC)² says, “This year, we have added a new category to the Asia-Pacific ISLA program – Information Security Educator. In fact, for the past nine years, we have been recognizing the work of numerous outstanding educators in the profession. However, the new category designed especially for educators reflects our determination to bridge the workforce gap because we view education as the key element in the equation to solve the talent shortage.”
A nominations committee comprised of senior information security experts from the (ISC)² Asia-Pacific Advisory Council as well as previous ISLA honorees will review and select honorees from the four categories based upon the selection criteria and eligibility requirements.
