In a significant achievement for our self-paced online trainings, ISC2 has received ANSI accreditation status from the National Accreditation Board (ANAB) for all nine of our online self-paced adaptive learning programs. This milestone shows that the trainings meet rigorous, internationally recognized standards, and acknowledges our organization’s culture of providing quality learning experiences with a purpose.
The assessors who evaluated our curriculum commended innovations such as the use of the Obrizum learning platform, which redefines how content and competency interact. Calling this approach “novel” and “intelligent,” they recognized that ISC2’s offerings go beyond just meeting standards to push boundaries in the training field.
Our education platform uses AI to personalize cybersecurity training by assessing a user's knowledge, learning speed, and confidence level. It’s an adaptive learning approach that customizes each learner’s journey, pinpointing areas that require additional focus for exam prep. ISC2’s self-paced curriculum is available for all ISC2 certifications: CC, CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, CGRC, SSCP, ISSAP, ISSEP and ISSMP.
What ISC2’s Training Accreditation Means to You
ISC2 is proud of this achievement. It confirms that we are on the right track in providing valuable training to our members and the greater cybersecurity community, adding to the weight that ISC2 credentials already carry in the cyber education space.
Accreditation also means that the courses now comply with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 requirements, which covers cybersecurity roles, training, and qualifications for DoD personnel and others with access to the department’s information systems. To accomplish this, we had to demonstrate that our courses comply with the ASTM E2659-18 standard.
ISC2’s Professional Development team worked hard over the past year to earn the ANSI 8140 accreditation. It was a rigorous process that involved mapping every development step, embracing lean principles, and compiling evidence to show compliance with ASTM E2659-18. ANAB performed an exhaustive evaluation of our curriculum, touching everything from our organizational structure and instructional design to the issuance of certificates.
We believe this achievement reflects our purpose to educate, empower, embrace and engage our members through every step of their careers. ISC2 is committed to serving our members with excellence through innovation in learning design and delivery while ensuring that learners have access to high-quality, accredited programs.
