Scholarship expands access to CISSP certification to advance and strengthen the global cybersecurity profession

Alexandra, Va., July 17, 2025 The Center for Cyber Safety and Education, the charitable arm of ISC2 - the world’s leading nonprofit member organization for cybersecurity professionals - announced it is now accepting applications for the Amentum Global CISSP Scholarship. In partnership with Amentum, the Center will award five CISSP Pathway to Certification scholarships this year to support professionals who are pursuing the CISSP certification. Recipients will be selected from the U.S., U.K. and in additional regions of the world.

The CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification, often called the "gold standard" in cybersecurity, is a globally recognized certification that validates an individual's expertise in designing, implementing and managing a top-tier cybersecurity program. Administered by ISC2, the CISSP is a strategic career investment, offering benefits like higher salaries, better job opportunities and increased job security. Each scholarship provides ISC2 certification training, an exam voucher and payment toward their first Annual Maintenance Fee. The deadline to apply is August 19, 2025.

This scholarship is part of the Center’s mission to expand opportunities in the cybersecurity industry by removing financial barriers and increasing access to educational and professional opportunities through scholarship opportunities. This year, more than 100 recipients will receive academic and career development scholarships.

“Through our global scholarship, we’re empowering the next wave of innovators who will shape and safeguard our digital world,” said Jennifer Walsmith, President, Amentum Intelligence & Cybersecurity Business. “Together, we’re building a stronger, smarter, and more secure tomorrow.”

Applications will be evaluated based on work experience, merit and financial need. Candidates must plan to sit for the exam within one year of the award and have the required amount of cybersecurity experience to become a full member of ISC2 after passing the exam.

“We thank Amentum for their partnership,” said Senior Director of the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, Holly Schneider Brown, CC. “Scholarships like this, in partnership with the Center, allow us to expand our global cyber community for good by providing more access and removing financial barriers to certification. Each recipient will receive a CISSP exam voucher, textbook, study guide, practice tests, ISC2 self-paced training and their first annual maintenance fee upon passing the exam and endorsement.”
