ALEXANDRIA, Va., February 13, 2025 – The Center for Cyber Safety and Education, the charitable arm of ISC2, announced today that it is accepting applications for the Nightwing Underrepresented Groups in Cybersecurity Scholarship, which will provide $20,000 in cybersecurity scholarships this year. The scholarship aims to expand opportunities in the cybersecurity industry.
Two $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to individuals from historically underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Qualifying groups include but are not limited to women, Black, Native American, Asian American & Pacific Islander, Hispanic, African American, LGBTQ+ and individuals with disabilities. The deadline to submit applications is March 3, 2025.
“Building a resilient cybersecurity workforce starts with investing in the brightest minds to tackle today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s threats,” said Jon Check, Vice President of Cyber Protection Solutions at Nightwing. “By empowering the next generation of professionals, we bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the industry. Scholarships like these play a vital role in fostering talent, driving progress, and strengthening the defense of our shared digital future.”
Applications will be evaluated based on passion, merit and financial need. Candidates must be high school seniors, undergraduate or graduate students, and have at least a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
