Earlier this year, ISC2 conducted a survey with our members about the current and expected future impact of AI. In February, 88% were already seeing AI impact their current roles, with most seeing positives in the form of improved efficiency despite concerns over redundancy of human tasks. Learning how to use AI is a necessity and along with our AI workshops , we’re excited to offer four new courses to help you develop your AI knowledge, skills and abilities.

As with all ISC2 courses, these new offerings were developed with the assistance of ISC2-certified members. We asked one of those experts – Yusuf Purna, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP, CISSP, CCSP, CGRC – about the importance of foundational understanding of AI to cybersecurity professionals.

“A foundational understanding of AI is crucial for cybersecurity professionals because AI technologies are increasingly being integrated into cybersecurity tools and protocols. By understanding AI, professionals can better leverage these technologies to enhance threat detection, automate response actions, and improve overall security posture. Additionally, knowledge of AI allows cybersecurity experts to anticipate and mitigate potential AI-driven attacks, ensuring a more robust defense against evolving threats.
