ISC2 Security Congress 2024 is right around the corner. This year, we
will provide sneak peek webinars on several of our popular topics
including what to expect related to the topic and see what the
presenters plan to share.
This first of three sneak peek webinars is on what might be the hottest topic in all of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence. Hosted by our Security Congress MC, Brandon Dunlap, three conference speakers shared highlights, plus a snapshot of their session content – all focused around AI.
Three AI Sessions Highlighted:
- Boardroom Intelligence: AI Strategies for Winning the Boardroom by James McQuiggan, CISSP
- Unlocking AI Risk Governance: Empower Your Cyber GRC Teams! by Radhika Bajpai
- Decoding Deepfakes: AI’s Dual Role in Digital Deception and Detection by Kyle Hinterberg
“Everyone in the IT and security space has been using different types of AI like machine learning, augmented intelligence, predictive analysis, large language models, etc. but over the last few years the AI world has grown so much,” said presenter James McQuiggan, CISSP. “What do you need to know to be able to provide information to leadership, create policies to provide governance, risk and compliance for your organizations? While AI promises many benefits, managing the risks such as biases and unfair outcomes, lack of transparency, security vulnerabilities and job displacement, will be critical as adoption grows.”
Radhika Bajpai explains in the sneak peek webinar that she will be discussing future-proofing your GRC strategies by learning how to anticipate and mitigate potential AI risk while maximizing the benefits AI brings to your organization. She also plans to discuss the AI Triad: LLMs (the brain), compute power (the muscles) and training data (the fuel), who is responsible for AI and how it integrates within the GRC frameworks.
Kyle Hinterberg will be talking in-depth about AI threats like fake images, written text, audio and video deepfakes and how these impact everyday people, celebrities, politicians and organizations. “Historically, we’ve trained our users to be worried about phishing emails and texts but now we need to train people to be worried about fake videos as well,” Hinterberg says.
Hinterberg’s session will explain the creation of deepfakes, how to detect them, the ethical implications, laws and regulations and proactive strategies to protect your organizations and individuals.
