Join us tomorrow for a day of thought-provoking talks, new ideas and networking with peers.

Whether you’re in the public or private sector, there’s one thing we can all agree on. The cyber threat landscape is becoming more unpredictable, more quickly, than ever before.

That’s not to say things aren’t progressing on the defensive side. Decisive government action has coincided with a better understanding of supply risks, and the evolution of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and approaches such as zero trust.

Tomorrow’s ISC2 SECURE Washington, D.C. event will take a closer look at the most important and strategic threats from senior government officials, together with practical advice on how to counter them. The event takes place at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue in the heart of D.C. and just four miles from Reagan National Airport.

A Day of Topical Discussion

The day will begin with an opening keynote from CISA assistant director Eric Goldstein, “Harmonizing Cybersecurity and Resilience: Shift the Balance Toward Enduring Security”.

Following our morning breakout sessions, we will host a panel session, “Growing the National Cybersecurity Pipeline Through a Collaborative Approach.” This will feature speakers including Anjelica Dortch, Senior Director of U.S. Government Affairs, SAP America, Will Markow, Vice President of Applied Research at Lightcast and Col. Chris Starling (Ret.), NPower’s Executive Director, California.

Following lunch, Oki Mek, Microsoft’s Chief Information Security Officer (Federal Civilian Sector), will discuss “The Intersection of AI and Cybersecurity”. This wide-ranging session will show how AI can bridge the various facets of a cybersecurity program, from governance and compliance to incident management and reporting.

Afternoon breakout sessions, covering Practical Insights on Implementing Zero Trust, or how to Reduce Risk by Automating Compliance with OSCAL, will lead into an ISC2 Insights Panel. This will give attendees the chance to put questions to ISC2 CEO Clar Rosso, CC, Samara Moore, Senior Manager and Global Energy Specialist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Rachel Guinto, Vice President of Cyber Security at First West Credit Union.

Attendees will come away with up to seven CPE credits, a better understanding of the most pressing threats facing us all and deeper insight into how industry, government, and your own team can counter them.
