(ISC)² Briefs NICE Working Group on Latest Cybersecurity Workforce Research Findings

(Clearwater, FL) – In this month’s meeting of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education Working Group (NICEWG), John McCumber of (ISC)²– the world’s largest nonprofit association of certified cybersecurity professionals – presented findings from the 2018 Cybersecurity Workforce Study, published in October. The invitation to present to this exclusive and prestigious gathering of cybersecurity authorities demonstrates the continued interest in (ISC)² research on the cybersecurity skills gap and the need to understand its causes and discuss possible solutions. The NICEWG was established to provide a mechanism in which public and private sector participants can develop concepts, design strategies and pursue actions that advance cybersecurity education, training and workforce development. It covers the NICE Framework published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
