- German speaking training for CISSP certification available from autumn 2017 in Switzerland.
Zurich, Switzerland – May 10, 2017 – (ISC)²® (“ISC-squared”), an international nonprofit membership association with more than 120,000 certified members worldwide and AnyWeb, a Swiss provider of network and service management solutions since 1994, today announces an agreement to provide cybersecurity training in preparation for (ISC)² credentials, including the CISSP. Headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, AnyWeb will offer training from Autumn onwards.
Roman Schad, HR Training Manager at AnyWeb AG says: “The requirements that cybersecurity professionals have to meet are growing exponentially, meaning that continuous education at a high level is vital, with learning materials that have to be updated against ongoing developments around the world. Particularly in the German speaking part of Switzerland, where there is a backlog demand, we see that our students are looking for dedicated, security focused training. We plan to develop this engagement to help resolve the skills gap in cybersecurity within Swiss organizations.”
Faisal Malik, Business & Market Development Manager at (ISC)² adds: “We are pleased to join forces with AnyWeb to offer cybersecurity professionals in this region a point of contact where they can get focused training as they prepare for professional certification. The demand for this kind of training is growing. Switzerland is a growth market for us and we are happy to have a partner supporting us to address local needs, and drive our internationally recognized certifications as a well respected brand for cybersecurity.”
Results of the 2017 Global Information Security Workforce Study, conducted by the Center for Cybersafety and Education and sponsored by (ISC)², forecasts a skills shortage of 1.8 million cybersecurity professionals in the industry by 2022. Fifty five percent of organizations in the DACH area have outlined that they currently don’t have the experts they require in cybersecurity and that their organizations struggle to find the right people for open positions.
(ISC)2 certifications confirm comprehensive professional knowledge in the critical areas needed to develop and protect systems and data in current business and working environments. They also confirm a commitment to continuing education – helping professionals and their employers keep pace with ever-changing requirements.
