Student Support (UK)-Certified in Cybersecurity
ISC2 is looking for cybersecurity professionals to support the learning and development of students across a range of UK universities, who are undertaking the CC training and exam. Involves presentations and ad hoc support – all remote - to provide the students with the knowledge and confidence to be exam ready.Purpose
To speak at virtual events and provide study support to a select group of students pursuing ISC2’s Certified in Cybersecurity certification, as part of a pilot running in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Speak/present on cybersecurity and related topics
- Present virtually
- Developing your own presentation
- Answering questions from audience/moderator/other panellists/speakers

Skills Required
- Cybersecurity, information security, IT knowledge/experience.
- Presentation skills.
- Comfortable being on camera for the presentations and have an environment that is ready to be shown on camera (e.g., a quiet office with strong wi-fi, appropriate for broadcasting webinars).
- Technical knowledge and equipment to properly conduct a webinar and communicate over an instant messenger channel.
- Ability to engage with audience on cybersecurity topics; to answer questions and share examples or reference material that deepen understanding.
- Ability to prepare for speaking engagements on own time and execute a successful session.
- Punctual and dependable.
Training
Training will be provided on how to utilize the event platform for webinar execution and select comms channels. Reference material will also be provided.
Time Requirement
Varies based on type of presentation typically between 1-2 hours per session.

October – December 2024, with potential to extend.
CPE Credit(s)
1 Group A CPE credit earned per 1 hour of service
CPE Submission Process
ISC2 will submit CPE credits on behalf of the volunteer.
