India Task Force

The India Task Force will inform, enable and facilitate ISC2’s strategic aims in India, and maximize our contribution to the development of the local cyber security ecosystem.

Purpose

Provide guidance on ISC2 plans in India for 2025-2026 covering membership and community engagement, and assist in building relations with academia, government and industry.


Responsibilities

  • Inform ISC2’s contributions to India’s policy, legislative, and regulatory developments.
  • Provide insights and advice on ISC2’s regional/sectoral priorities in India.
  • Support relationship building in the private and public sectors.
  • Contribute to ISC2’s strategic planning for India: e.g. product development, pricing, market segmentation
  • Represent ISC2 as a speaker and subject matter expert at public events (at the request of ISC2)
  • Provide insight and guidance into volunteer programming, activities, and resources

ISC2 Membership Requirement

No (membership preferred)


Skills Required

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a cyber security professional in India.
  • Policy, governance, or technical advisory experience in finance, professional services, telco or Global Capability Centres (GCC).
  • Passionate to contribute to the development of the national cyber security ecosystem through participation in policy consultation initiatives and workforce development programs.
  • Experience in developing, implementing or advising on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives in India preferred.
  • Ability to represent ISC2 at public events preferred.

Training

Orientation provided at the start of the term.


Time Requirement

The position is for 18 months, during this time task force members will be expected to:

  1. attend one 90-minute virtual meeting a quarter
  2. allocate an average of 3 hours per month to task force activities and projects
  3. attend one in-person task force meeting held in India

Travel Requirement

No travel is expected with position. If so, travel will be compensated for participation as an ISC2 speaker at in-country public events and attendance of in-person task force meetings.

CPE Credit(s)

1 Group B CPE credit earned per 1 hour of service (task-force meetings, consultation and submissions)

1 Group A CPE credit earned per 1 hour of preparation for a domain-related presentation


CPE Submission Process

ISC2 submits on behalf of the Committee members for attending meetings, speaking engagements and participation in projects.
