David Shearer Photo

David Shearer, CISSP, PMP, Executive Director  

Mr. Shearer has more than 27 years of business experience including the chief operating officer for (ISC)², associate chief information officer for International Technology Services at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the deputy chief information officer at the U.S. Department of the Interior, and the executive for architecture, engineering and technical services at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Shearer has been responsible for managing and providing services via international IT infrastructures, and he has implemented large-scale SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects. Mr. Shearer has led large geographically separated staffs that support global solutions. Mr. Shearer holds a B.S. from Park College, a M.S. from Syracuse University, management and technical certificates from the U.S. National Defense University, and he is a U.S. federal executive presidential rank award recipient. As (ISC)² Executive Director, Mr. Shearer is responsible for the overall direction and management of the organization.

 Wesley Simpson

Wesley Simpson, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Simpson has more than 25 years of business experience including positions in IT, product management, policy and procedure development, budgeting, vendor negotiations, and client development and relationships for Turner Broadcasting System, Delta Airlines, Bank of America, IBM and Fidelity Investments. Mr. Simpson has been responsible for leading the development of IT organizations and global services, while also working in the field of software development and digital asset management for various Fortune 500 companies. As COO, Mr. Simpson oversees the operational aspects of contracts with all business partners, collaborates with the Executive Director and senior management to support (ISC)² programs and services, and is responsible for the development and implementation of a business template for the regional offices. Mr. Simpson holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and various technical certifications.
 Debra Taylor 2015

Debra Taylor, Chief Financial Officer 

Ms. Taylor has more than 30 years of business experience including positions as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and CFO of the America’s Operations for the former global public company Danka Business Systems PLC. Ms. Taylor has extensive business experience in accounting, finance, acquisitions and mergers. She directed all financial and operational reporting and results along with the re-engineering of the infrastructure and controls of the key business processes at Danka Business Systems PLC. Prior to working with Danka she was the Western Regional Business Manager for Storer Communications, Inc. and Assistant Controller for J. R. Norton Company. At (ISC)² Ms. Taylor is responsible for all financial and management reporting, executing the budgeting process, overseeing investments, all human resource functions, and operating as the Contract Officer. Ms Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University. She is a former Board Member and Finance Chair of Goodwill-Industries Suncoast.
Graham Jackson

Graham Jackson, General Counsel

Mr. Jackson joined (ISC)² in 2013. He serves as an agent for (ISC)² in regards to all legal matters, liabilities and rights. Mr. Jackson’s duties include overseeing domestic and international corporate reporting and compliance with government regulations; the registration and protection of (ISC)² intellectual property; drafting and negotiating transactional documents; managing (ISC)²’s outside counsel and developing strategy for litigation; and overseeing the (ISC)² Board of Directors elections. He also works closely with the business teams to identify positive outcomes for (ISC)² and its members and partners around the world. Mr. Jackson holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Accountancy from Samford University, as well as a B.B.A in Accounting and B.A. in History from the University of Georgia. He is a member of the Florida Bar.

Philip Casesa 2015

Philip Casesa, CISSP, CSSLP, Director of Service Operations

Mr. Casesa has more than 16 years of experience in the IT field and has been at (ISC)² for more than 10  years. At (ISC)², he oversees the various technology teams, including Enterprise Architecture, Applications, Infrastructure, and Web Services. Prior to joining (ISC)², Phil worked as a consultant for a Big4 consulting firm, where he advised small to mid-sized businesses on system implementations. He also worked as a Software Engineer for a pharmaceutical firm, where he developed web-based pharmaceutical management software. Mr. Casesa holds an MBA and a BS from University of Florida. 


adrian davis

Dr. Adrian Davis, CISSP, Managing Director, EMEA

Dr. Davis heads the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team for (ISC)². His responsibilities include developing and implementing a strategy for the EMEA region, working with the EMEA Advisory Council and supporting the (ISC)² global vision and mission. Within EMEA, Adrian is also responsible for building relationships, driving new opportunities and supporting the marketing, PR and communications function to develop and maintain (ISC)² brands and support both business development and member service objectives. Before joining (ISC)², Adrian worked for the Information Security Forum, where he led the Leadership and Management group within the Global Team. His prior experience includes international project management, the creation and implementation of project and programme offices, risk management and strategy formulation. Adrian has a Chemistry PhD from the University of London and an MBA from Durham Business School; he is a Chartered IT Professional, a Member of the British Computer Society and holds a Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.
Rae Hayward

Dr. Rae Hayward, HCISPP, Director of Education & Training

Dr. Hayward is a highly regarded, experienced educator with a background in the application of sound pedagogical and andragogical theory for the holistic design and development of curriculum and learning content for both academia and corporate knowledge acquisition. She has spent 15+ years developing curriculum structures for corporate organizations, including succession planning education and core job skills acquisition. Her expertise in technology has enabled her to develop and implement Learning Management System platforms and initiate learning object structures to minimize development costs and maximize learning effectiveness. With a doctorate in instructional technology, distance education and curriculum development, Rae has helped academic institutions and corporate organizations develop innovative educational platforms and content that maximizes current advancements for effective and efficient transfer of knowledge. She is responsible for the strategic development of all (ISC)2 educational content, which includes developing courses for the entire career lifecycle of an IT security professional.
 Janet Hopkins 2015

Janet M. Hopkins, CPA, CGMA, Director of Finance 

Ms. Hopkins, with more than 25 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, oversees all accounting functions with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, international taxation issues, and payroll.  Ms. Hopkins has been with (ISC)² since 2005 and has had an extensive role in process improvements within the organization, including significant system conversions.  Prior to joining (ISC)² , she spent 17 years as an auditor in public accounting serving a wide range of clients including nonprofit, manufacturing, government contracting and construction.  Her tenure in public accounting included 12 years with Ernst & Young, LLP, exiting at the senior manager level. She received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Lambuth College and her M.B.A. from the University of South Florida.
Clayton Jones, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific

Clayton Jones, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific 

Mr. Jones has been involved in the professional education services industry for more than a decade in the U.S. and Asia.  His experience spans business unit management, and mergers and acquisitions, including corporate restructuring.  Based at (ISC)² regional headquarters in Hong Kong, he is responsible for the overall operations of (ISC)² in the region and supporting the organization's vision.  Clayton has led the establishment of (ISC)² offices in Japan, China and most recently India.  He also works with different government agencies and corporations advising on workforce development within the information security profession.  He is a regular speaker at information security events in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines and Hong Kong.  Clayton has a B.Com from Calcutta University and a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management (Calcutta).  In April 2009, Clayton received the Membership Growth and Support Award during the (ISC)² 20th Anniversary Founders Celebration in recognition of his contributions to the development and growth of (ISC)² credentials and the profession in the Asia-Pacific region.
 Erich Kron

Erich Kron, Director of Membership Relations and Services 

Mr. Kron has a strong management and technical background with more than 18 years of experience in the medical, aerospace manufacturing and defense fields. He is the former Security Manager for the 2nd Regional Cyber Center -Western Hemisphere and holds CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, MCITP, CCENT and ITIL v3 certifications, among others.  Mr. Kron has managed the technical integration and functional testing of multi-million dollar enterprise level technology projects within the Department of Defense as well as large military security programs. Mr. Kron is responsible for member services, chapter programs, and oversees planning for (ISC)² events.
 Vehbi Tasar 2015

Dr. Vehbi Tasar, CISSP, CSSLP, Director of Professional Programs Development 

Dr. Tasar is in charge of the certification and education development departments at (ISC)². Under the certification program, his responsibilities include supervising exam development, item bank maintenance and psychometric review of exam data analysis. Under the education program, his responsibilities include supervising the development of (ISC)² CBKs, text books, practice exam, review seminars, and E-learning. Both certification and education programs have unique set of requirements and challenges. Vehbi keeps these two departments at arms’ length to satisfy ANSI’s requirement of firewalling between exam development and education activities. Vehbi joined (ISC)² in June 2008 and developed a new credential in secure software lifecycle development. Prior to joining (ISC)², Vehbi worked in computer and software industry for over 30 years. He has a broad spectrum of application development expertise ranging from high performance computing to database application development, and distributed enterprise computing for the IT infrastructure. Vehbi holds a B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the Middle East Technical University from his native country, Turkey. He received his M.S degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri in Rolla, and the Doctor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit in Michigan. 
 Dan Waddell 2015 NCR   

Dan Waddell, CISSP, CAP, PMP, Director of Government Affairs, NCR 

Mr. Waddell is responsible for managing operations in the National Capital Region (NCR), which primarily focuses on supporting U.S. government members, customers and strategic partners.  He also leads all U.S. Government Affairs activities and is the primary (ISC)² official responsible for interacting with public sector entities (i.e. federal, state and local governments); major corporations; universities and other higher education institutions; and professionalization organizations throughout the U.S.  Mr. Waddell serves as the principal point of contact for various trade associations; public interest groups and other entities focused on information security and information security workforce issues.  He has over 20 years of experience in information technology, information assurance, and cybersecurity, with over 15 of those years in management. He is currently the co-chair for the U.S Government Advisory Council, and received the (ISC)² President’s Award in 2013.
  Elise Yacobellis

Elise Yacobellis, Director of Business Development, Americas 

Ms. Yacobellis has more than 20 years of experience in the corporate world, with a varied list of successful undertakings that includes the promotion of strategic growth and relationships, the achievement of organizational and financial goals, development of online user experiences and the execution of communication plans. She has a B.S. from New York University. Ms. Yacobellis is responsible for global growth and market development strategy, strategic partnerships business development and marketing activities. She is the executive publisher of InfoSecurity Professional magazine.
