Mr. Tipton has more than 30 years of business experience including over five years as chief information officer for the U.S. Department of the Interior and 13 years as an engineer for Union Carbide Nuclear Corporation. Mr. Tipton has received numerous accolades and awards of recognition for his service and role as an industry leader.  He was named to The Federal 100 - leaders who play pivotal roles in the government IT community, and the Security Executive Council named him one of the most influential people in security.  In 2014, CareersInfoSecurity recognized Mr. Tipton in its first-ever ranking of the top 10 individuals who made a substantial impact on infosec careers.  He received the Distinguished Rank Award for government service from the President of the United States. As (ISC)2 Executive Director, Mr. Tipton is responsible for the overall directionand management of the organization.

David Shearer Photo David Shearer, CISSP, PMP, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Shearer has more than 27 years of business experience including the associate chief information officer for International Technology Services at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the deputy chief information officer at the U.S. Department of the Interior, and the executive for architecture, engineering and technical services at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Mr. Shearer has been responsible managing and providing services via international IT infrastructures, and he has implemented large-scale SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects.  Mr. Shearer has led large geographically separated staffs that support global solutions.  Mr. Shearer holds a B.S. from Park College, a M.S. from Syracuse University, management and technical certificates from the U.S. National Defense University, and he is a U.S. federal executive presidential rank award recipient.   At the direction of the Executive Director, Mr. Shearer is responsible for the daily operations of all company departments.

Ms. Taylor is responsible for the re-engineering effort of (lSC)² financial operations. She oversees financial and management reporting and results along with managing the budget process for the company.  Ms. Taylor has more than 25 years of business experience in accounting, finance and business operations.  As senior vice president of Danka Office Imaging and corporate controller and CFO of its Americas Operations, she directed all financial and operational reporting and results.  In re-engineering the infrastructure and controls for the key business processes, she removed material weaknesses in the cycles of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and financial reporting.  Prior to working at Danka Office Imaging, Ms. Taylor was business manager of Storer Communications and assistant controller for J.R. Norton Company.  Ms. Taylor is a graduate of Michigan State University and a CPA, currently inactive.  She is a former board member and Finance chair of Goodwill-Industries Suncoast.

Ms. Yacobellis has more than 20 years of experience in the corporate world, with a varied list of successful undertakings that includes the promotion of strategic relationships, the achievement of organizational and financial goals, and the execution of communication plans. She has a B.S. from New York University. Ms. Yacobellis is responsible for worldwide business development and marketing activities and also oversees product development for official education material. She is the executive publisher of Infosecurity Professional magazine.

Janet M. Hopkins, CPA, Director of Finance and Administration
Ms. Hopkins has over 21 years of experience in accounting, including non-profit, contracting and benefit plan industries. Prior to joining (ISC)², she was an audit manager for Harper, Van Scoik & Company, LLP, for five years and audit senior manager for Ernst & Young, LLP, for thirteen years. She received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Lambuth College and her M.B.A. from the University of South Florida. Ms. Hopkins oversees all accounting functions with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, international taxation issues, and payroll.
Vehbi Dr. Vehbi Tasar, CISSP, CSSLP, Director of Professional Programs Development
As the Director, Vehbi is in charge of the certification and education development departments at (ISC)².  Under the certification program, his responsibilities include supervising exam development, item bank maintenance and psychometric review of exam data analysis. Under the education program, his responsibilities include supervising the development of (ISC)² CBKs, text books, practice exam, review seminars, and E-learning. Both certification and education programs have unique set of requirements and challenges. Vehbi keeps these two departments at arms’ length to satisfy ANSI’s requirement of firewalling between exam development and education activities. Vehbi  joined (ISC)² in June 2008 and developed a new credential in secure software lifecycle development. Prior to joining (ISC)², Vehbi worked in computer and software industry for over 30 years. He has a broad spectrum of application development expertise ranging from high performance computing to database application development, and distributed enterprise computing for the IT infrastructure. Vehbi holds a B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from the Middle East Technical University from his native country, Turkey. He received his M.S degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri in Rolla, and the Doctor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit in Michigan.
