Education Subject Matter Expert
Purpose/Rationale To serve as a subject matter expert (ISC)² Education initiatives, including certification courses, professional development, training, and events.
Responsibilities/Expectations
Note: These responsibilities cover a wide area of volunteer needs within the education department.
  • Author written materials.
  • Perform peer review on written materials.
  • Participate in a webinar broadcast.
  • Identify technical talent for professional development, training, and events.
(ISC)² Membership Required No
Qualifications/Skills Required
  • Subject Matter Expert in cybersecurity/information security space.
  • Comfortable being on camera and have an environment that’s ready to be shown on camera. (Ex. a quiet office with strong wi-fi, etc.)
  • Work well with the (ISC)2 team and other subject matter experts.
  • Ability to engage with others to draw out the best-in-class engagement and presentations on cybersecurity topics
  • Familiarity with virtual technology to include an ability to effectively learn how to utilize, manage and run virtual platforms.
  • Punctual and dependable
Training Training will be provided that is specific to the project where expertise is needed.
