Official Rules for Quiz to Win an Official (ISC)² Training Course Prize Draw

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THE ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED DURING THE PRIZE DRAW PERIOD.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH CREATE A CONTRACT SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. WITHOUT LIMITATION, SUCH CONTRACT INCLUDES GRANTS OF RIGHTS AND INDEMNITIES TO THE INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY CERTIFICATION CONSORTIUM, LTD. (“(ISC)²”) FROM YOU, A CLASS ACTION WAIVER, AND A LIMITATION OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for the prize, entrants must have be least eighteen (18) years of age on the date of the Prize Draw entry submission (“Entrant”). This Prize Draw is void where prohibited. One Winner will be chosen at the completion of the Entry Period at random from the Entrants who submit valid and verifiable submissions.

HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Prize Draw, Entrant must complete one of three practice quizzes located at https://app.snapapp.com/CISSP, https://app.snapapp.com/CCSP, and https://app.snapapp.com/Entry-Level, and provide valid contact information during the Entry Period to be credited for completion (“Entry”). All entries must be received no later than 23 June 2022. Limit one (1) entry per Entrant. In the event more than one (1) Entry is received from any one person, the first Entry processed will be considered the only valid entry received for that Entry Period. In the event of a dispute, Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address used to submit at the time of Entry. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. (ISC)² is not liable for lost, late, misdirected, or corrupted Entries whether due to a technical error or otherwise. Entries become the property of (ISC)² and will not be acknowledged or returned.

PRIZE: Three (3) winners, one (1) per related practice quiz, will receive one (1) free CISSP Online Self-Paced Training Course voucher; one (1) free CCSP Online Self-Paced Training Course voucher; or one (1) free Certified in Cybersecurity Online Instructor-Led Training Course voucher. Total Prize Pool valued at £1742. Prize may not be substituted for a cash award. (ISC)² reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees, if any, related to the acceptance of the Prize.

HOW WINNERS WILL BE DETERMINED: Winners will be chosen at random from all eligible Entries per practice quiz on 30 June 2022. Winners will be notified within ten (10) business days following their selection. Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity (where permitted), and return same, properly executed, within seven days of issuance of prize notification. If Winners cannot be reached at the contact information provided within three (3) days from first notification attempt, if the Winners fail to complete any and all requested forms by the specified date, or if the Winners fail to comply with any requirements, their prize will be forfeited and an alternate prospective winner shall be selected. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible Entries received.

GENERAL: All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. By entering the Prize Draw, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Failure to agree to these terms will be cause for the Entrant not to be eligible for the Promotion. (ISC)², in their sole discretion, reserves the right to void any Entry and to disqualify any Entrant who tampers with, subverts, circumvents, or attempts to tamper with, the lawful operation of any Prize Draw, the entry process, or violates these Official Rules.

By submitting an Entry, Entrant agrees to (a) release (ISC)² its respective directors, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by (i)Entrant’s participation in the Prize Draw or any Prize Draw-related activity, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize; (ii) any Prize Draw Entities sponsorship or administration of the Prize Draw; (iii) the fraudulent activities of Entrants, or events requiring a cancellation or postponement of the Promotion; (iv) lost, late, intercepted, incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate, delayed, illegible, garbled, damaged, or misdirected Entries or Entries not otherwise received by (ISC)²; (v) technical, hardware or software malfunctions, failed or unavailable network connections, or delayed electronic or other communications, or other technical problems related to website entries; (vi) Entrant’s and/or any third party’s use, sale or disposal of the prize; (vii) any use of your Entry, photo or likeness; or (vii) other errors, difficulties or impediments of any kind, whether human, electrical or technical in nature, relating to or in connection with the Prize Draw, its administration, the processing of Entries, or announcement of the prizes or winners. (b) Assume sole liability and accept all risk of loss for injuries, including personal injuries and/or damage to property, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Prize Draw or the acceptance, possession, shipping and handling, loss, use or misuse of any prize awarded. (c) unless prohibited by law, grant (ISC)² and its affiliates and agents, the right, without limitation or further permission or compensation, to use and publish your name, likeness, and entry for promotional, advertising, publicity, and marketing purposes in any manner in commerce and in any medium now known or hereafter devised without limitation and without further notice in perpetuity. (ISC)² may require you to execute documents to confirm the grant of rights hereunder. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. (ISC)² accepts no responsibility or liability for actions of Entrants, including those in violation of these Official Rules.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PRIZE DRAW MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND (ISC)² RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. (ISC)² has the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Prize Draw, or any portion, if in (ISC)²’s sole opinion, it has been compromised, corrupted, or cannot be completed as planned due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or other conditions beyond (ISC)² control, including, without limitation, insufficient volume of eligible entries, and to select potential winner(s) for the Promotion from eligible, non-suspect entries for such Promotion received on or before the termination date.

GOVERNING LAW / DISPUTES: This Prize Draw shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether the United Kingdom or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than United Kingdom. BY ENTERING THE PROMOTION, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE PROMOTION, OR THE PRIZE, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (2) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, (IF ANY), NOT TO EXCEED SIX HUNDRED AND FORTY POUNDS STERLING (£640), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; (3) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (4) ENTRANTS’ REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND ENTRANT IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF.
