Annual awards program recognizes cybersecurity leaders and volunteers for their achievements and contributions in the field

Alexandria, Va., March 5, 2024 – ISC2 – the world’s leading nonprofit member organization for cybersecurity professionals – today announced nominations for its annual Global Achievement Awards are now open. The ISC2 Global Achievement Awards recognizes individuals’ outstanding leadership, achievements and contributions in the cybersecurity field.

Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on April 19, 2024. Recipients will be honored during the 2024 ISC2 Security Congress, October 14-16, in Las Vegas and virtually. Honorees will receive a personalized, engraved award, along with a complimentary conference pass for them and their nominator.

Awards offered this year include the following:

Professional Awards

  • ISC2 Rising Star Professional Award recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of an up-and-coming professional who has significantly impacted the information security industry early in their career. Candidates must have 1-5 years of work experience in the cybersecurity industry.
  • ISC2 Mid-Career Professional Award recognizes an individual who is at the mid-career stage and has demonstrated commitment and achievement in their profession. Candidates must have 6 to 14 years of work experience directly related to cybersecurity.
  • ISC2 Senior Professional Award recognizes an individual who has significantly contributed to enhancing the information security workforce by demonstrating a leadership role in their profession. This award is given to senior professionals with 15+ years of work experience directly related to cybersecurity.

Special Recognition Awards

  • ISC2 CEO Award, chosen by ISC2 CEO, recognizes individuals who have made a significant impact on the cybersecurity profession through dedicated and exceptional efforts.
  • ISC2 Lifetime Achievement Award, in memory of Harold F. Tipton, this award recognizes an ISC2 member regionally for their lifelong contributions to the advancement of information security and the profession by serving, over the long term, with sustained excellence and distinction throughout their entire cybersecurity career.
  • ISC2 Volunteer Service Award, in memory of James R. Wade, is presented to acknowledge the involvement of an individual volunteer who merits special distinction for their sustained and valuable service to ISC2.

Program/Initiative Awards

  • ISC2 Chapter Recognition Award recognizes ISC2 chapters that demonstrate a well-rounded offering of activities and services designed to benefit their members and affiliates while making a significant contribution to the profession and their local communities.
  • The Center for Cyber Safety and Education Awards will present two awards this year including an Outstanding Volunteer Award and a Partner of the Year Award, which celebrate the contributions of individuals and organizations for their work to better society and the cybersecurity community through the support of the Center.
  • ISC2 Inclusion Impact Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate achievements and is a leader in helping to achieve the DEI vision of ISC2 to foster and advance a diverse, equitable and inclusive cyber world.
