  • Industry Initiatives
    In 2005, (ISC)² spearheaded the worldwide 2005 Year of the Information Security Professional (YISP) initiative. The initiative was supported by over 60 organizations (including Microsoft, CompTIA, ISSA, etc.) and helped bring attention to the profession by spotlighting information security professionals, highlighting the profession’s increasingly significant and vital role in today’s economy, and encouraging employers to invest in their information security staff.
